Dear Brethren,
Greetings in the name of our Lord. I am glad and privileged to
reach you through this site. As you may be aware the Stewards Bible
College is a pioneer Bible teaching Institution among
the Indian brethren, having all India out look with English as medium
of instruction. Several years have slipped down into history since its
humble formation as Assembly Bible and Training Institute (ABTI) in
Pune in 1974. But during the span of these four decades, the
institution did not lose its identity in holding fast the Bible truth. Rather
it stood strongly for Bible truths and crossed many important
milestones growing from strength to strength by His grace.
More than 600 Lord’s servants including a few overseas
students were trained here through the short-term and long-term
courses. And most of them are faithfully and fruitfully labouring for
the Lord in different parts of this country. That is where the usefulness
of this ministry gains importance. Realising the importance and need
for more comprehensive course - curriculum we have prayerfully
decided to introduce a three year B.Th programme from the
academic year 2007-08 for the benefit of learners who intend to
pursue more intensive and extensive Biblical Studies. In this context
we have now incorporated the improved course
modules for the Certificate, Diploma and Degree programmes.
Subjects have been thoroughly revised and rearranged for a
systematic study of the Scripture in proper sequence. Further, the
course content in the syllabus is one of the best Bible study
programmes available in the country. This will surely draw more
students in their pursuit for a higher level learning of the Scripture.
Faculty members with exemplary life and strong commitment for
teaching have also been added so as to absorb the increased work
load and responsibility.
At this juncture I should acknowledge the fact that this ministry would not have reached this level without the strong support of prayerful partners. We continue to seek your prayerful co-operation and participation in the days ahead for the consistent growth of this ministry.
